X12, the longstanding standards body that develops and maintains EDI and related standards, announced today that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Applied PilotFish Healthcare Integration (APHI) to license and redistribute artifacts of the X12 standard as a component of PilotFish’s eiConsole for X12 bundle. PilotFish is one of a select group of partners working alongside X12 under its new licensing program. PilotFish recognizes the critical role than X12 plays in supporting electronic data exchange (EDI) in healthcare and throughout the economy and is proud to work alongside the organization to advocate for the ongoing evolution and implementation of the standards.
X12 is an ANSI-accredited, consensus-based, non-profit organization focusing on the development, implementation and ongoing use of interoperable electronic data interchange standards. Across supply chain, insurance, transportation and finance – X12 standards are ubiquitous. X12 has formed partnerships with PilotFish and other software and solution providers to ensure that these mission-critical standards are not only sustainably maintained, but that they also evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of modern business.

This partnership better aligns our organizations and bolsters our respective abilities to deliver on our already complementary missions,” stated Cathy Sheppard, X12’s Executive Director. “We at X12 are excited about the opportunities this partnership opens up for both organizations.”
